The Grand Prize (Daesang) at the Hanui Hyemin Awards was presented to Council Member Lee Jong-jin (Welfare and Environment Committee, Busan Metropolitan Council) and President Jang Se-in (Korean Society of Sports Medicine).
Congratulations to both recipients!
Council Member Lee Jong-jin has led efforts to help Korean Medicine further contribute to public health, such as by proposing ordinances in Busan City for Korean Medicine-based infertility and dementia treatment.
President Jang Se-in has consistently dedicated himself to the field of sports, serving as a head doctor at the Athlete's Village Korean Medicine clinic and as a team doctor.
He notably demonstrated the achievements of Korean Medicine by contributing to athlete An Se-young's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics.
I (Director Lee Jewon) was honored to receive this Appreciation Plaque in recognition of my ongoing series in the AKOM News (Hanui Shinmun), "Peering into Internal Medicine."
