Experience the Depths of K-Medicine
This past May, the '2nd Global Korean Medicine School Introductory Course,' co-hosted by the Suseong Cultural Foundation and the Suseong-gu Korean Medicine Association, came to a successful close.
Students from all over Japan, after completing online preliminary courses, visited Daegu to experience the reality and culture of Korean Medicine firsthand. The passion for learning was as hot as Daegu's weather, especially with the participation of acupuncturists, herbal tea experts, and business operators deeply knowledgeable about traditional medicine.

Out of four online lectures, BM Korean Internal Medicine Clinic led the session on 'Principles and Methods of Treatment in Korean Medicine.'
During this session, we emphasized the holistic perspective—the value of addressing the root cause rather than merely suppressing surface symptoms.
Taking modern 'lifestyle diseases' like hypertension and diabetes as examples, we highlighted the importance of early intervention, or 'preventive medicine.' By avoiding refined sugars and processed foods and adopting an eco-friendly, plant-based diet, we can reclaim our 'healthy freedom' without a lifelong dependency on chemical medications.
Modern Science Meets Holistic Wisdom
Learning naturally transitions into practice. The students who visited BM Clinic experienced firsthand how Korean Medicine seamlessly integrates with the products of modern science.
BM Clinic places no limits on the tools of healing. We closely examine the patient's condition using pre-visit questionnaires and actively utilize modern medical devices such as ultrasound and InBody. Based on this, we combine 'Disease Differentiation' (identifying the disease itself using modern medical science) with 'Syndrome Differentiation' (assessing the patient's holistic state), delivering highly customized acupuncture and herbal medicine prescriptions.

This Global Korean Medicine School went beyond a simple educational program, presenting a new model of medical tourism combined with local culture. BM Clinic will continue to communicate and research tirelessly to share the excellence and universality of Korean Medicine with the world, helping more people reclaim their true health.
