Are your insulin doses increasing? Are your medications piling up?
Wait a moment.
Blood sugar is not the core issue.
It’s time to assess your overall health.
At BM Korean Internal Medicine Clinic, we do not treat diabetes as simply a blood sugar issue.
High blood sugar is a result of improper metabolism—not the root cause.
Simply lowering glucose levels with medication is a temporary fix, not a cure.
Our treatment goal:
We aim to improve your overall health, not just your blood sugar.
That includes symptoms of hyperglycemia and a wide range of insulin resistance-related conditions:
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Arrhythmia
- Chronic pain
- Asthma
- Psoriasis
- Skin conditions
- Autonomic nervous system imbalance
- Chronic fatigue
- Insomnia
- Digestive issue
Our Diagnostic & Treatment Process:
1. Initial Questionnaire
We examine your lifestyle, environment, medications, surgeries, and lab results—even things you may not think are related to blood sugar.
2. Vital Signs
We measure height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood sugar.
3. Meridian and Pulse Wave Test
We assess autonomic balance, vascular health, and stress levels.
4. InBody S10 (Hospital-Grade Body Composition Analysis)
We analyze skeletal muscle mass, abdominal fat %, mineral content, body fat, phase angle, and total body water.
5. Electrocardiogram (ECG)
We perform a standard 12-lead ECG to screen for arrhythmias or heart enlargement.
If needed, Holter monitoring is conducted for 24 hours, 7 days, or 14 days.
6. Sonographic Pulse Diagnosis
We use ultrasound to examine the radial pulse—a modern enhancement of traditional palpation.
7. Blood & Urine Tests
We test for glucose, HbA1c, insulin, C-peptide, and insulin resistance indexes (HOMA-IR/%S).
Other tests may include:
- Liver/kidney function
- Uric acid
- Lipid profile
- Inflammation markers
- Thyroid function
- Serum immunoglobulins
- Stool tests
- Latent tuberculosis screening
- Menopause hormones

Based on your test results, we design a personalized treatment plan.
Diabetes and prediabetes are not short-term issues—so we recommend long-term care planning.
If you decide to begin treatment:
Here’s what your plan might look like:
- Visit every 2 weeks
- Blood tests every 4 weeks (or more frequently if needed)
- CGM monitoring until glucose variability stabilizes
- Daily food photo uploads via KakaoTalk (with dietary guidance)
